Position Overview

As an Industry Manager, you are the primary point of contact for customers within your designated industry and region. You are responsible for all commercial decisions and are technically skilled in your sector. This role involves frequent travel throughout the Iberian Market to maintain and grow relationships with existing customers and to develop new business opportunities. Entrepreneurship and a strong sense of ownership for your sector are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers in your industry and region, managing all commercial decisions.
  • Regularly visit customers and prospects across the Iberian market to maintain relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Monitor market developments and act as an intermediary between producers and customers, ensuring both parties’ needs are met.
  • Develop cooperation with new suppliers to expand our offering and strengthen our market position.
  • Work closely with a team of other industry managers, each responsible for different segments, to share insights and strategies.
  • Collaborate with an inside sales team that supports your business development and sales activities.
  • Provide technical solutions, deliver excellent service, and add value to our customers, which are the main drivers of our sales teams.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, customer needs, and competitive threats to identify growth opportunities and risks.
  • Participate in technical training and leverage support from dedicated principals to enhance your industry expertise.
  • Report directly to the Sales Director.

Requirements

  • Excellent relationship-building and teamwork skills.
  • Proven ability to maintain close, trust-based relationships with customers.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Technical Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent level).
  • Willingness and eagerness to travel and visit customers regularly.
  • In-depth knowledge of your industry/branch.
  • At least a few years of experience in a commercial role, ideally in an international environment.
  • Relevant technical knowledge and the ability to deliver technical solutions to customers.
